By installing or using Ivrit Yalla (“the App”), you accept and agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please uninstall the App.
Ivrit Yalla is a Hebrew language-learning app for iOS and Android. It includes vocabulary flashcards, conjugation drills, graduated-interval-recall stories, video clips with captions, and multiplayer games. Some features rely on bundled content, others on Google Cloud Firestore for shared data such as multiplayer scores.
You can use Ivrit Yalla without creating an account, signing in, or providing an email address. The App identifies your installation by an anonymous device identifier. If you uninstall and reinstall, your device will be treated as new.
New subscribers receive a one-month free trial. Cancel any time during the trial via iOS Settings → your Apple ID → Subscriptions. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, the subscription begins at the published price.
You agree not to:
We may suspend or remove access for users who violate these rules.
If you see abusive content in the App (in messages, multiplayer rooms, leaderboards, or shared decks), tap the flag icon in Tools → Chat with Admin or email abuse@ivrityalla.com. We review reports within 24 hours and may remove offending content or block the sending device.
The App embeds public Hebrew videos from third-party YouTube channels using YouTube’s standard embedded player. These videos remain the intellectual property of their respective creators. We do not host or modify their content. Reading-and-vocabulary screens may also display passages from Sefaria under their Creative Commons license. Citations and attribution are shown alongside the relevant content.
The App’s code, original lessons, original audio recordings, original story text, original game logic, and overall presentation are owned by Ivrit Yalla and protected by copyright and trademark law. You may use the App for personal, non-commercial Hebrew study. You may not copy, modify, redistribute, or create derivative works without our written permission.
The App is provided “as is.” We work to keep features running but do not guarantee uninterrupted operation. We may add, modify, or discontinue features without notice.
Language acquisition depends on the learner. We do not guarantee fluency or any specific test result.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Ivrit Yalla shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App.
You may stop using the App at any time. We may stop providing the App, or block specific devices, in cases of abuse, suspected fraud, or reasons required by law. On termination, you remain responsible for any subscription charges already incurred; any unused free-trial time is forfeited.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes are effective when posted to this page; material changes will also be announced inside the App. Continued use after a change constitutes acceptance.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa, where Ivrit Yalla is operated. Disputes will be heard in the courts of South Africa, except where mandatory consumer-protection law in your jurisdiction provides otherwise.
